Flava at the Riverside this Saturday

A rapper will perform his specially penned Middlesbrough City Status hip hop track before Boro’s last home game of the season this Saturday.
Flava, aka Jasper Dausoni, is a Teesside University law student and raps in his spare time.
He decided to compose the track ‘Fresh About the Boro’ after he saw the city status bid flags flying in Middlesbrough town centre.
Middlesbrough is one of a number of town’s across the UK hoping to be granted city status as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year.
The track has proved a hit with more than 4,000 views on YouTube, radio stations TFM, Real Radio and BBC Tees have played the track along with interviews of Flava and he has received national coverage in his native Zimbabwe.
Flava said: “The response to the song has been great. I never thought it would get such a reaction when I made it but it’s been really positive and I cannot wait to perform it for the first time.”
Performance time
Now Flava will give his first public performance of ‘Fresh About the Boro’ on the Riverside Rocks stage near the Ayresome Gates at 12 noon. The game against Doncaster kicks-off at 12.45pm.
