Tees Valley Unlimited (TVU) is encouraging companies to have their say on key issues affecting their business.

Charged with driving forward the local economy, the Local Enterprise Partnership is working with independent research organisation, TBR and partnership stakeholder, DigitalCity to develop detailed sector action plans that will help support the continued growth of the Tees Valley.

The first phase of work will help identify both the opportunities and the challenges that have a significant impact on the development of the advanced manufacturing, health, logistics and digital sectors and TVU is urging companies engaged in these industries to voice their opinions and help initiate change.

TVU’s Director of Policy and Strategy, Linda Edworthy said: “The success of the Tees Valley economy is driven by the companies that operate here from the large multinationals to the smaller SMEs across the supply chain.

“Collating a thorough analysis of our established and emerging sectors will identify new and existing opportunities and also the obstacles we need to tackle together.

“We are working within a difficult economic climate but by supporting our research, you will be directing our business engagement focus for the next 12 months be it skills and training, access to finance or supply chain development.”
