sarah millican announces extra tour date in middlesbrough

She’s already smashed box office records up and down the land, and TV favourite Sarah Millican has today added an extra date at Middlesbrough Town Hall next year by huge public demand.

Sarah’s Boro gig on 15 June has already sold out and, with just over 100 tickets left for her other Town Hall show on 14 June, promoters Ten Feet Tall have moved quickly to add an extra date on Wednesday 13 June.

Tickets for the extra Boro date go on sale at 10am this Friday morning (Fri 28 July).

Rob Guest of Middlesbrough Town Hall said: “She’s only gone and done it again!

“Sarah’s sparked a real ticket frenzy whenever she’s played here, and she seems to smash our box office records every single time.

“The response when we announced her initial gigs was just absolutely incredible, and to be pretty much on the way to selling out two nights here at the Town Hall almost a year in advance is exceptional really.”

The Town Hall is currently undergoing a major refurbishment before reopening next year, with a range of great new shows already under discussion for the popular venue’s relaunch.

“We’re working hard to get some more great shows on the calendar for 2018,” said Rob. “The Town Hall has enjoyed thousands of amazing nights in its long history, and Teesside can look forward to many more great nights for generations to come. Watch this space…”

Sarah enjoyed a rapid rise to fame after winning the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2008, and quickly became firmly established as one of the UK’s best loved comics.

Voted ‘Queen of Comedy’ at the British Comedy Awards, she has also fronted three series of her own BAFTA nominated BBC2 show, and has notched up countless appearances on a string of top shows including QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Live at the Apollo.

Now, with four sell-out tours already under her belt, her brand-new show Control Enthusiast promises to be another huge hit.
