Remember you can help make some festive dreams come true for our independent shops by supporting local. For many of them this could be the lifeline to help them get through a second lockdown and a chance to start 2021 afresh. Visit their websites, follow their social media, show them some Love Middlesbrough love by buying gifts and vouchers and share with your friends so that they can all shop local too!
You can also download the Visit Middlesbrough app to your smartphone. The app gives you all the latest news and alerts and as the town centre reopens, it can also give you the best time to come shopping if you would prefer to shop at quieter times. Download the app from your app store or Google Play.
Rocking around the Christmas tree
Would it really be Christmas if you’re not singing all the classics from mid-November?! For the Love Middlesbrough team, we don’t call it Christmas until we hear Last Christmas on the radio, but the much-coveted festive top spot is definitely something different for everyone. We’ve put together a few of our faves below and we’ll be taking to social media soon to ask you for yours. Until then, get ready to rock around the Christmas tree and sing at the top of your voices. All together now: When the snowman brings the snow…
Snuggle up on the sofa, grab the remote control and get comfy, it’s time for some festive films! Whether you’re Frozen in time, ready for The Holiday or you would choose some Love Actually, you just can’t beat the feelgood factor of a Christmas film. From animation to romance, musical magic to flying sleighs, get in the mood with our playlist – we know which one we’re watching first. Top tip: Santa? I KNOW HIM!
